Artist Biography

 Jael Klein Coaracy is a Brazilian who moved to New York in 2015 where she became a full-time artist.

 In Brazil she had a career as a Psychologist as well as a published author.  She wrote for major Brazilian television networks and curated cultural projects.  Jael graduated with degrees in Journalism and Psychology and has a post-graduate degree in Cognitive-behavior Psychology with a Neuroscience approach. Poetry, dreams, soul landscapes and imagination are her core inspirations.  

Jael believes that beauty heals and that in a world of anxiety and struggles we all should have an oasis of peace, calmness and serenity in which to rest and dream. Her art reminds us of the existence of such a place. 

 Currently living in Florida, her works of choice are mixed media, acrylic painting, digital experiments and photography. Van Gogh, Odilon Redon,  Kandinsky, Matisse, and Joan Mitchell are some of the artists she most admires.  

 Beauty heals and speaks of heaven, hope and happiness. It connects us to an inner world of possibilities. 

When I paint, my concentration is complete and total; nothing else exists because art is where I find inner strength and contentment. It is my path to peace, dreams, calmness, imagination. It brings me fulfillment.

When I paint I find myself in soulful landscapes that otherwise would have escaped my awareness. 

What inspires me? Poetry and flowers; Spirituality and cooking; Sparkles and scents; Animals. Words; Love of art; Art as love.  Painting is my magic place, my inner sanctuary

Painting and creativity allow me to wake up each day anticipating the moment when my life turns into colors, light, imagination.
